WHAT IS MORTALITY RATING?

The measure of the degree of modification necessary based on certain health conditions when comparing a life to the standard population. This population is made up other similar lives (based on age, gender, and tobacco use), and the mortality rating adjusts the life expectancy based on variations in health. A higher mortality rating indicates an unhealthier life, therefore resulting in a lower life expectancy. A standard life would have a rating of 1.00, or 100%.
