WHAT IS AN NON-CONTESTABLE POLICY?

A non-contestable policy refers to a life insurance policy that has surpassed the contestability period, usually two (2) years from the life insurance policy's issue date. Once this period has elapsed, the insurance company cannot contest or challenge the policyholder's claim based on misrepresentation or non-disclosure during the application process. In other words, after the non-contestable period, the claim becomes more secure and cannot be disputed by the insurance company, providing the policyholder with greater assurance and peace of mind.
